I dont know guys I have been searching on internet the whole day for what is the best for curing a cold sore and everybody say a different things – alcohol, ice cube, lemon, tea bags, salt, vinegar, polish nail remover, peroxide, mouth wash, onions,garlic etc – I got it today morning , when i woke up it was already late – the coldsore has already formed – but it was so small though so i apply quicky abreva , and then again, and again – at the end of the day I looked horrible it got huge , so I start of with some home stuff – first I poper the blisters , got rid of the fluids with paper towel then I applied an alcohol i had no 100 % so I used whiskey lol , then I used tea bags under running hot water for 15 minutes , then i started with onion fluid , NOTHING FRICKING WORKED ! – so Im sticking with my OLD CURE !!!! – AND THAT IS A TOOTHPASTE – put it on before you go to bed – you wake up and the coldsore will be scabby … keep putting on toothpaste and eventually withing 3-4 days it will be gone

So far nuthing completly stops them but at first sight I use VINIGER hold it till ur lip turns white,if its allready big DRAIN IT if you can (wth a needle)then viniger.its all abt drying it out.rite now im trying polysporin patchs (helps hide it some) let you know how it works:)

OMG! Finally.ppl who know how it feels to have one of these devils! Lol. I got them ever since I was 11 and i have anemia so I have a really low immune system and that doesn’t help much lmao. I’m tired of having this thing and I’ve tried abreva but I had to stop cuz its so expensive :/. I’m trying campho right now and its doing absolutly nothng for me-just spreadin it around. I’ve had three in the last week and a new one popped up just yesterday. Imve tried ice, alchohol, and my sister made me try blistex but thhat didn’t work either. I can’t go to the doctors cuz I have no insurence so I can’t get a prescription. I’m tired of these thing-sometimes I feel like ripping my lips off.

I know this is bizarre but a friend of mine told me that a woman from brazil asked for cigarette ashes to be put in her hand off the hot ash. Another remedy was to dab your own urine, yes urine… It’s sterile!!! Dab it onto the area a few times a day… Gross but true!!

Hey so I woke up this morning with a cold sore! They suck, you feel like everyone is staring right at it! Well, I just tried ice, nail polish remover, and toothpaste. I really hope it works and don’t like them at all! So do those things work well? If so I’m really happy now!
