Rinse with peroxide as often as needed. Rinse whole mouth out being sure not to swollow any. helps with pain and helps kill. also witch hazel works well. always take vitamin C and B-12. not only when things flare up. vitamins have little to no effect on the body for the first 15 – 45 days. the body needs to get use to having them before it will use it. some vitamin makers are better than other. in order to have vitamins help you should do extensive research. What can cause herpes out breaks? STRESS AND CAFFIENE. if you have a break out completely stop all caffiene no maximize healing rate.

I have been using this otc brand called releeve. You apply it as soon as you feel anything and it stops it in its tracks. It is about 20 dollars for a small bottle but, honestly it works for me. Like yesterday I got a few bumps on my lip and when I got home I put some on and my cold sore is still there but, it is really tiny.. I think it will be gone in a day or two.. (mind you that a small bottle has lasted me about a year…)

Hey Bryan. My son-in-law and daughter suffered with very bad cold sores on their lips (him also in his nose). A friend told me to give them Vit B12 or Vit B complex injections IM (I am a nurse). I got a prescrition from her doctor, gave them each a shot once a month for 5 months consecutively. That was 11 years ago, and my son-in-law has only had the odd cold sore since then (he literally had them almost every other month before that). My daughter had none for several years after, and now gets them again, but not as often. Hey, it’s definitely worth trying.
